Jung SuWon – Energizing – Word Search Puzzle!

July 18, 2012

This excerpt is by Dr. Tae Yun Kim, in The Silent Master eBook, on “Energizing

Energizing involves getting your energy under control – purifying it, increasing it, and directing it towards goals and activities that promote your growth and development rather than self-destructive or limited ends.  Because you are unique, it is important not to compare yourself with others or have unrealistic expectations for what you want to accomplish.  There is already within you a quiet recognition of the goals that are appropriate for you.  An unrealistic goal will make you feel “pushed’ or anxious, whereas a realistic goal will bring a sense of excitement and eager anticipation.”

Spread Your Rainbow Wings!

is a quote by Dr. Tae Yun Kim of Jung SuWon

 Make your own Rainbow!

Try ths “Rainbow in a Bottle Experiment!”

  1. For this project, you’ll need some special equipment. This experiment, however, is special because it is the same one Sir Isaac Newton did when discovering properties of light.
  2. With your child, fill up a fishbowl or glass three-fourths of the way.
  3. Submerge a small hand mirror in the water, and balance it on the side of the glass.
  4. With one hand, hold up a white piece of cardboard in front of the mirror, and with the other hand, shine a flashlight into the mirror.
  5. You’ve created a rainbow in a bottle that will reflect on the cardboard paper.

The Art of Jung SuWon

We all remember our Jung Suwon Black Belt Testing at the end of May this year. It was a fantastic event, and all three candidates came through with outstanding attitude and performance.

Harrison Peoples, former Army Green Beret, recipient of Purple Heart, has been training under Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim for 2 decades now and today’s focus of this blog is on him, and how he is showing what he has learned.

As you know, at Jung Suwon receiving your black belt is serious business.  Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim doesn’t just hand them out.  You’ll have to earn it through hard work, consistency and positive attitude.  As Jung Suwon Black Belt candidate, you’ll have to stand out, you have to be different from just anyone else, and show that you are passionately working towards becoming the person you were born to be!

In this blog post, we show a…

Tae Yun Kim's Wisdom as shown through animals

Today, you are in for a special treat!  The Jung Suwon-imal blog team (consisting of myself and my camera) went out and observed a Jung Suwon class, out there, in the wild!

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim, a very tall 4’11 herself, always emphasizes – and proves – that size does not matter when it comes to Jung Suwon training.  She is right, of course.

Here are some never before shown pictures of this super secret Jung Suwon class.

In the above picture, you can see Timmy, Tina, Troy, Theodore, and Tammy, lining up for class.  Can you see how eager they are?

Here is little Thaddeus, with a front kick:

Let’s give him a big hand for such a beautiful kick!  Telly, no grooming during class!  Attention!

And here, an instructor (= turkey mommy) is showing Thaddeus how to improve that awesome front kick some more:

and here we…

Tae Yun Kim's Wisdom as shown through animals

Yes, lizards have a bad reputation.  They are considered creepy.  They are cold-blooded animals.  They look weird.  And yet, they are indeed Jung Suwon-imals, true warriors.

They actually have a lot to offer.  On the more obvious side of things, they eat all kinds of bad insects and keep your garden clean.

They also can adapt to different environments very well and make themselves blend in.  But most of all, they understand, and practice, one of Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim’s important teachings, that you have to let go of the old, and welcome the new, they know all about detachment.

For Jung Suwon-imal lizards, this starts with the physical being.  Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim showed us a lizard with just a stub for a tail.  What had happened?  Well, lizards will gladly let go fo their tail, in order to survive!  And they can even re-grow that…
