January 29, 2017

This 2017 Lunar New Year, (January 27, 2017), is the year of the “Fire Rooster”

What ”Fire Rooster” Means

Both the zodiac sign and the element shape the astrology of the year. For example, 2017 is a Fire Rooster year. Element-sign combinations recur every 60 years.

Both zodiac sign and element are believed to affect one’s personality and destiny.

In Chinese astrology, each zodiac year is not just associated with an animal sign, but also with one of five elements: Gold (Metal), Wood, Water, Fire, or Earth.

Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s The First Element book, pg 41, has a description of the “Fire” element.

Here is an excerpt:

Your Spiritual Body is “Fire”. Fire is the element which corresponds to your pure life force energy.  This energy manifests electrical or electromagnetic forces which operate just below the level of your physical body. This is the body of flowing energy which acupuncturists adjust in order to correct physical problems.

In a healthy state, this fire ki energy flows throughout the body in currents expressing the nature of yin and yang. In an unbalanced state, your physical body may manifest signs of too much yang fire energy (an excited, overactive state, such as a fever) or too much yin (a lethargic or stagnant state, such as a cold.)
