The Art of Jung SuWon

This weekend, there has been a lot of activity at our own Jung Suwon facility, all sorts of beautification and improvements going on!

Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim wants us to have the best possible place to train at, and so has encouraged us to make some improvements – lets take a look at what is happening!

Planting at Jung Suwon isn’t just putting flowers into the ground.  Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim encourages us to think beyond – when preparing the soil – prepare to accomplish a goal.  When we settle a plant into the ground, we set our goals, give them root.  When we put the soil around the plant, and tamp it down, we add determination to our goals.  Finally, when we weed and water, we also pull out everything that could prevent us from accomplishing our goals, and we give our goals renewed energy.

How many blueberries are in 1 cup?

March 16, 2013

How is your immune system?  Is it strong?  Is it weak?  Did you catch a cold or flu, or do you have allergies?

There is a section on understanding your immune system in Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s The First Element ebook.  “If you think about it, nearly every disease you can think of involves some kind of “alien” element which the body must destroy or eliminate.  So healing any disease you may have ultimately boils down to getting your immune system to really kick in and kick out the offenders.

One of Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s favorite fruits are Blueberries.  Why? Blueberries have many health benefits that can strengthem your Immune System, plus they taste good, and are easy to eat.

Here’s a Blueberries experiment to do at home.

1. At the grocery store, get:

  • 1 container of Blueberries
  • 1 cup measuring cup
  • 1 tablespoon
  • 1 box of Kosher Salt (a larger grain than regular table salt)

2. In the grocery store, produce section, look for containers with big firm blueberries, deep in color, that move around inside the container when you pick it up.  If the blueberries don’t move then they are too soft and over ripe.

3. Fill your kitchen sink with 3 inches of cold water.

4. Add 1 tablespoon of Kosher salt to the cold water.  (The salt water cleans the pesticides and toxins from the blueberries.)

5. Open your container of blueberries and slowly pour them into the cold salty water in your sink.

6. Wash the blueberries with cold salty water.

7. Then rinse the blueberries with clean cold water.

8. Take the blueberries out of the water and place them on a napkin, or paper towel, or a plate to dry.

9. Put a 1 cup measuring cup next to the blueberries.

10. One at a time, count your blueberries while putting them into the 1 cup measuring cup.

11. How many blueberries are in 1 cup?  ___50?  ___100?   ___150?   ___200?  (Send a reply to let us know, how many blueberries are in your 1 cup.)

12. Now your blueberries are ready to eat.  Enjoy!

Learn A Very Basic Korean Conversation!

March 10, 2013

In your Country, what language do you speak?  If you live in a foreign country, do you speak your native language and also English?

In the United States of America, English is the language that is taught in school and is spoken in businesses.  Most people who travel and move from other countries to the United States speak their native language and also learn English.  Many people only learn English when they move to the United States.

In 1946, Tae Yun Kim was born in a small village in South Korea and learned to speak Korean.  When Dr. Tae Yun Kim was 23, she moved to Burlington Vermont, in the Northeastern United States, and learned to speak English the hard way with prejudice, language and culture barriers.

Now, as the number 1 Ki Energy Master, a best selling Author, and as a very Successful Business Woman,  Dr. Tae Yun Kim gave her Jung SuWon warriors, who only speak English, an opportunity to learn Korean.

Here is a very basic Korean conversation, that you can learn too:

Hello?     안넹 하세요?

What is your name?     이름이 뭐예요?

I am (Oh Joo Yung).     저는 (오주옝이)  에요.

Nice to meet you.     반값습니다.

Which Country are you from?    어느 나라 사람  이에요?

I am American.    저는 미극 사람 이에요.

(What Korean foods do you like?)

I like kim chi.   저는  김지를 좋아해요.

I like bibimbop.     저는 비빔밥을 좋아해요.

(What else do you like?)

I like norae bang. (Karaoke).   저는  노래방을  좋아해요.

Good bye, go in peace.   안녕히 가세요.

Naturally moisturize dry hands with lemon juice!

Great Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s Lemon Recipe Heals Dry Skin!

Part of a Jung SuWon warrior’s training is to learn about recipes that are made out of natural elements to improve your health or wellbeing.  In this blog, I am sharing with you one of Great Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s natural healing recipes.  A natural way to heal dry skin is with lemons.  Lemon juice helps to purify and soften your skin.

  1. If you have a lemon tree in your yard, go pick one lemon.  Look for firm glossy lemons, bright yellow color.  The lemon should feel heavy for its size.  If you don’t have a lemon tree in your yard, purchase a lemon at the grocery store.
  2. Peel the lemon so that when you are finished the lemon rind is in one piece.  (It is ok if your lemon peel breaks into several pieces.  Your thoughts create reality.  With practice, you will learn how to peel the lemon and end up with one long spiral lemon rind.)
  3. When your lemon is completely peeled, open the lemon into the small sections.  Gently separate the fruit along the natural divisions.
  4. Put 1 lemon section into your hand.  Squeeze the lemon section so that the juice comes out.  Rub the lemon juice into your hands.  At first the lemon juice will feel sticky.  That’s ok.  Let the lemon juice dry naturally on your hands.  When your hands are dry, feel the skin on your hands.  Do your hands feel softer?
  5. Now take the other lemon sections and squeeze the juice into a bowl.  Rub the lemon juice onto other dry skin areas, such as on your knees, on your elbows, on your feet.  When you take a shower, wash your whole body with lemon juice.  (Keep lemon juice out of your eyes.)  After washing your hair, squeeze lemon juice on your hair for a natural conditioner.  Your hair will feel squeaky clean and soft.
  6. Dry the spiral lemon rind, and use for potpourri (a fragrant lemon smell). Or grind the lemon rind in your kitchen garbage disposal for a fresh lemon kitchen fragrant smell.

Other Lemon Recipes:

Lemon Water:  Squeeze a lemon section into a glass of cold water, and drink.

Lemon Tea:  In the winter when it is cold, squeeze a lemon wedge into a hot cup of water.  Add a teaspoon of honey, and you will have a nice hot lemon tea drink.  This Lemon tea is soothing for a dry throat or a sore throat.

Lemonade:  Squeeze lemon sections into a glass of cold water.  Add a tablespoon of honey or sugar to taste.  Add ice cubes.

Anti-Bullying Youtube

In this Youtube video, watch how 1 Girl fights off 3 bullies.  They attack her as a group, individually, with a knife and sticks. She is not afraid of them. She is a Jung SuWon warrior who has learned how to focus and accomplish her goals.

What is Jung SuWon?

Jung SuWon, a martial art that includes spiritual principles and practices that can lay the foundation of your inner power and physical strength, and that can develop your whole being. Thus, its mental and spiritual aspects are not separate from its physical form, and never could be.

This martial art is essentially the art of living life itself. This is the true “way” of the martial arts warrior– not just overcoming in combat, but a complete overcoming in every aspect of our daily living. When you learn this art, there will be no obstacle you cannot overcome.
